Ode to Cheez-Its
With flakes of salt

Cheez-Its have the perfect combination of saltiness with that buttery, cheesy richness. So DAMN good.
I'm gluten free and sometimes I just can't help myself...
So far, there is just no match in the gluten free world. Maybe you could work on that, Kellogg's...please. Pretty please.
This Cheez-It chicken is so FREAKIN' simple. Just 3 ingredients, plus salt and pepper. You could also add flour, corn starch, and/or more spices to the crushed Cheez-Its, but I just went super basic, yet still delicious! And, you could use any baked cheddar cracker, but we all know Cheez-Its are the best!
To crush the crackers, it took about 15 seconds in my mini food processor. But if you've had a bad day, simply place inside a Ziploc bag and go to town.
First, breading adds crunch and flavor. In addition, this barrier from direct heat allows the chicken to stay moist and juicy! There are so many possible breading choices- flour, breadcrumbs, crackers, chips, pretzels...and more!
Yes, you can. Just make sure the breading will not stick to the air fryer basket. To help, you can lightly spray with olive or avocado oil. And, breading will be a bit messier to clean up...but it creates meat that is moist and tender.
With just 3 ingredients, these air fryer Cheez-It breaded chicken breasts will be juicy and on the table in less than 30 minutes!
