Bobby Flay is a celebrity chef well known for his skills as a grill master. For many years he had a show called Boy Meets Grill. So, I feel confident he would know how to create a great burger. Flay's Crunchburger sounded interesting; although, I started putting potato chips on sandwiches as a child, so it's not exactly a brand new concept! These crunchburgers provide an enjoyable contrast of textures! And, my version features juicy turkey burgers with gluten free buns.
The secret is to ensure that your turkey burgers stay moist. I like to add coconut aminos (or soy sauce) and freshly grate part of an onion directly over the ground meat. This leads to juicy turkey burgers every single time.
As meat cooks, it tends to shrink and can puff up in the center. By placing an indentation in the center of your burger before cooking, the patties will remain flatter with a more uniform thickness.
Bobby Flay is a celebrity chef known for shows on The Food Network and The Cooking Channel. In addition to Beat Bobby Flay, Boy Meets Grill, and Throwdown! with Bobby Flay, he has also published 14 cookbooks and owns restaurants in New York, Las Vegas, and New Jersey. After dropping out of high school at 17, Bobby began working in restaurants. In 1984 he graduated from the French Culinary Institute. Later, he began working in a number of NYC restaurants. He eventually became the Head Chef and a partner at Mesa Grill. Currently, Flay owns Bobby's Burgers and Amalfi in Las Vegas. He has also previously owned Shark, Mesa Grill, Gato, Bar Americain, and Bobby Flay Steak.
