I must say- I think dips are one of my favorite things to make! They're fun, easy, and then you get to add another fun snack into the mix! My favorite dipping items include- pretzels, graham crackers, and fruit. Other s'mores dips stick with melted chocolate and toasted marshmallows, but I like to use sweetened cream cheese as the base for most of my dips. It tastes great and is very versatile!
You can use a large bowl or glass baking dish, a skillet or individual ramekins, as long as it's oven safe for broiling. Use low broil with the door open and WATCH THEM CAREFULLY! Or you will quickly have burnt marshmallows...unless that's what you were going for.
Best served warm, but also delicious cold.

Credit for these fireside beauties is given to the Girl Scouts. It first appeared in a 1927 edition of Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts. The name has since been shortened from Some Mores.

If you're not a fan of graham crackers or left them at home- no worries! You can replace with a number of other sweet and salty treats. Which you choose will depend upon whether you are making real s'mores or just need something sweet and crunchy to sprinkle on top of a dip.
